What we collect

We collect your name and email address, along with your phone number if you provide it. For businesses, we also collect the company name and VAT number if provided, as well as what you write in the description of the task.

We use no tracking cookies, no analytics and no third-party advertising tools. We store two small preference cookies, one for the theme (light, dark or system) and one for the language (Faroese or English). They are used only to remember that choice.

Why we collect it

We use the details to answer the enquiry and to do the work we agree with you. We do not sell them and we do not use them for marketing.

Legal basis

We process the details because you asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries before an agreement exists.

Retention

We keep an enquiry for 24 months after the last change to it, unless something else has been agreed. If an accepted quote or the law requires a longer period, we keep that information longer. You can always ask us to delete it sooner.

Who has access

Only the people working on the enquiry at Hugsa. We send no customer information to external AI providers.

Service providers

Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Týskland.

Email: incoming correspondence is received in a Gmail mailbox provided by Google. Outgoing email from Hugsa applications is sent through Brevo. The new-case notice we receive contains only the case number, the type of enquiry, the language and an internal link — not what the customer wrote.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Write to us and we will reply.

You can also complain to the Faroese Data Protection Authority (Dátueftirlitið).
